چکیده
An experimental study was conducted with low cost natural waste adsorbent materials, barley husks and eggshells, for the removal of Levofloxacine (LEVX) antibacterial from synthetic water. Batch sorption tests were to their isothermal adsorption capacity compared conventional activated carbon which were, > eggshells efficiencies 74, 71 42 % adsorbents doses 5, 5 50 g/L carbon, husks, respectively. The equilibrium isotherms had been analyzed by Langmuir, Freundlich, Sips models, parameters evaluated. data correlated well Langmuir model gives best fit LEVX / biosorption on respectively. The almost dependent temperature. thermodynamic associated process, ΔGo , ΔHº ΔSº reported it is suggested be physisorption, exothermic nature.

Removal of Chromium from Waste Water by Adsorption Method Using Agricultural Waste Materials
Several low cost biomaterials such as rice husk, sugar cane bagasse, Tulsi Leaf &branches, coconut shell & coir and fly ash were tested for removal of chromium. All the experiments were carried out in batch process. The adsorbent, which had highest chromium (VI) removal, was coconut shell. An influence of chromium concentration, contact time on removal of chromium from effluent was investigated...
متن کاملRemoval of Cr(VI) from aqueous solution by adsorption onto low cost non-conventional adsorbents
Adsorption behavior of chromium, Cr(VI) from wastewater has been investigated using clarified sludge (a steel plant waste material), rice husk ash and sawdust as non-conventional adsorbents. The studies were carried out at room temperature (30C) following batch adsorption technique in a reciprocating shaker. Factors affecting the adsorption characteristics such as agitation time, initial metal ...
متن کاملLow Cost Efficient Treatment for Contaminated Water
Heavy metals pose a risk of contaminating groundwater and surface water sources due to geogenic activities, industries and agricultural sources. The removal of heavy metals e.g., cadmium, lead, and zinc from drinking, industrial and irrigation water at low concentrations is a recurring challenge, especially in developing countries. Biosorption is a relatively new process that has proved to be v...
متن کاملRemoval Of Fluoride From Water And Waste Water By Using Low Cost Adsorbents
India is among 23 nations where in a large population suffers from dental and skeletal flourosis due to high fluoride concentration in ground water. The prominent states, which are severely affected, are Andhrapradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Fluoride beyond desirable amounts (0.6 to 1.5 mg/l) in ground water is a major problem in many parts of the world. Taking the se...

This paper is devoted to the application of new low cost ceramic ultrafi ltration membranes material coming from the Tunisian ores (mud) which is usually considered as disastrous for the environment. A ceramic tubular support previously elaborated from mud was coated in the lumen side by slip casting method. After sintering at 650°C, the coated membrane shows homogeneou...
